Our Vision

The Alliance for the Status of Missouri Women envisions a day when women are guaranteed equality.  We believe equality includes:

• Quality comprehensive healthcare and reproductive freedom;

• Full access to education;

• Equal employment opportunities and earnings;

• Participation in public decision-making.

Our Mission

The Alliance for the Status of Missouri Women works to improve the lives of all Missouri women by:

• Providing timely analysis of key social and economic issues and their impact on Missouri women;

• Building public awareness of and engagement in policy discussions and decision-making; and

• Informing policymakers about the interconnectedness of the issues of women’s health and well-being, social and economic autonomy, political participation and employment and earnings.

About Us

The Alliance serves a unique role in Missouri by providing analyses of public and fiscal policies that impact Missouri women, primarily low-income women and their families. 

The Alliance is comprised of a board of directors that serve as "champions" in their field of interest.  These Champions work to disseminate vital information to advocates, policy makers and the public in order to create inclusive policies that protect Missouri's women.
